TRAINING CENTRE

The Cranbourne Training Centre is currently home to 15 professional, semi-professional and hobby trainers.

The Centre was opened in September 2012, and produced its 400th winner in June 2023, and continues to achieve outstanding results on the race track. The Centre recorded its highest win tally in 2022 with 56 winners.

The facility boasts walk-in/walk-out boxes and yards in secure compounds, 10-day paddocks, secure feed and tack rooms, two-horse walking machines, a treadmill, 24-metre pool, a four-horse jogger, four-horse wash and eight-day paddocks.

Onsite trainers receive full access to three training tracks including a 950-metre race track, 1200-metre jog track and 600-metre sand track.

There is also a live-in caretaker/track curator who looks after all the maintenance and gives trainers peace of mind that the facility is safe and secure when they are not present.

A major bonus of residing at the Cranbourne Training Centre is regular race meets at the home track, which races 25 times a year, as well as two other clubs within an hour drive away which race a further 24 times a year combined. Cranbourne also hosts 25 trials a year, held before each race meeting

There is also plenty of agistment located within 10 minutes of the facility at affordable rates.
