Cranbourne based trainer Dylan Stratford snared the 2190 metre Barastoc Trotters Mobile over 2190 metres at Shepparton on Wednesday night with recent stable addition Chevron Action.
A kiwi bred 4Y0 daughter of Majestic Son and Roydon Action with impeccable blood lines, Chevron Action was purchased by Cranbourne Harness Racing Club President David Scott as a long-term broodmare proposition from prominent owner Norm Jenkins.
Driven by Greg Sugars, Chevron Action began brilliantly from gate five to lead before taking a trail on the hot favourite Patched which worked forward from the extreme draw to effortlessly take over with a mile to run. After a cosy trip, Chevron Action sailed home along the sprint lane to account for Flash Kyvalley (one/one) by 2.2 metres with Patched a disappointing third 2.7 metres back. Chevron Action returned a mile rate of 2-02.
